The Refuge is Faith Community’s student ministry, serving middle and high school age students, grades 6-12.
We agree that the middle and high school years are years of opportunity, rather than a time of survival. Parents, families, mentors, and events all make up how we approach student discipleship. Scroll down to learn more about the purpose of theRefuge Student Ministries!

IN THE HOME
We see throughout Scripture that families in the faith have been charged with the responsibility of discipling their children (Duet. 6:7; Psalm 78; Eph 6:4; 2 Tim 1:5). Therefore, we desire to help equip parents as the primary discipler of their children.
IN THE CHURCH
Our ministry does not exist outside of the local church, but in conjunction with the larger church family. We see throughout the New Testament that the local church is a larger family (household of God, Eph 2:19-21), made up of many families.
Therefore, as a part of the local church, we exist…
- To fully establish students in his/her faith in Jesus (Eph 3:17-19), and then for students to be engaged in the disciple-making process (M t. 28:16-20)
- To grow students in their maturity – Eph 4:14
- To help students foster genuine accountable relationships with other students and adults
