On Saturday mornings, a group of men get together to discuss how their week went, and converse and counsel each other on pressing issues in their lives. Meetings usually last about two hours and include about an hour dedicated to a topical study. As Prov 27:17 notes, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
The core focus during the meetings includes:
- Honor and Glorify God
- Serve others
- Grow to be more like Jesus daily
GROUP’S CORE VALUES
With the above in mind, the group’s core values include:
humility, obedience, discipline, gratitude, wisdom, and discernment.
“David: Developing a Heart for God” by Jack Kuhatschek
The study invites men to recover their masculine heart, defined in the image of a passionate God.
From MEN ON A MISSION leader Ron Mosca: “Trusting that the above studies and discussions will build community within the Men’s Group at FCC. Again, 7a.m. on Saturdays—we’ll have the coffee and treats ready for you! We might gain more from you than you gain from us.”
